The Wii can play MP3s as background music to image slideshows, but cannot play music separately or play CDs. I wouldn't rule out the possibility of an mp3 player channel in the future though.

As long as I can plug it with a CD and it copies the songs I'm happy. And if a web browser is included I'm downloading all of stems tracks.

The Gamestop/EB situation around these parts is this: Still no word on system reservations (even after today's weekly conference call), but things change without any notice all the time. "Some days the computer just shows a message that says 'start taking reservations on such and such' and then we do it" said one local store manager. Blargh.

All I know is you guys better post some good reviews of how the wiimote works once you get your system. You all may be a bunch of screen names and oversized signature images, but I trust all of you a damn sight further than the gaming sites.

*cough* it works pretty good when it's not surrounded by lots of machinery that interferes with wireless signals.

Just don't surround it with giant CRT's.

I may have to change the lights in my room if these reports of halogen interference are true. Other than that, I dont think I have any problems.

Brinclhof?
I have no idea what you're talking about.
Edit: Damn it. Brinclhof is for diatomics, not halogens. I'm a tard.

If you have halogen lighting in the room where your Wii is situated, it could cause problems with the Wii Remote's signal.

I'm getting really nervous about the launch.
I know it's two months away, but I can't shake the butterfly feeling that I'm going to miss out. I remember feeling this way about the N64 launch, but in that case I had to wait until Christmas (it launched in September if I remember), and the 3 months of hearing kids at school (I was a Junior in high school at the time) talk about how awesome Super Mario 64 was drove me crazy.
I am a Nintendo whore. I must consume.

I know what you mean. I haven't been so excited for a system since... well, ever actually. Of course, it doesn't help that Mark from Gamestation rang us yesterday from the Wii event he's attending to tell us how super awesome the Wii is.

I'm fully aware that I'm going to miss out on launch. Worst part? Visiting this board and seeing all you guys full of joy.

Sell some art, make some money, support Miyamoto's struggling game-design career. Any questions?
