Now, the person may argue that the shuffle is indeed also a ripoff, and I might even agree. But what sets the Wii apart from that reasoning is that instead of talking about one apple and an even bigger apple (the ipods), you're talking about one apple and one even bigger orange... Hmm.

That was epic.

Heh, wow. If you didn't read this, do, http://wii.nintendo.com/iwata_asks_vol1_p2.html.

They have pictures of the Wii with and without the stand, and they talk about how it really makes the system's exterior. The pictures prove it. It looks like a white CD-drive or something without it, but it looks so great with it. Crazy.

So region-free Wii is awesome.
I'm also hearing that the Opera browser will be free to download for a lil while and then they'll start charging. Trying to find a source, though.

$580 dollars is still less than the cost of a PS3. Honestly, most of that stuff doesn't have to be bought day one. I'd just pick up a game or two and be done with it. I rarely ever buy a second cotroller anyway. Usually, when I want to play game with someone, they have thier own controller. In fact Nintendo is kinda promoting the idea of everyone having their own controller with the Mii avatar stuff.

In Japan, you get a second Wiimote with 'Wii Play' (another tech demo style bundle). I'd like to see that here too.

And this sounds good: http://us.gamespot.com/wii/action/thele ... id=6157656

I'd much rather they take their time than rush for launch and make it all shitty again.

This may sound silly, but I'm REALLY diggin' Excite Truck:
http://gamevideos.com/video/id/6014

It looks to satifsy the SF Rush, Carmageddon, Jet Moto, Burnout, and Super Off Road fans in me all at the same time.

I just hope there are plenty of courses and some depth/unlockables. The variety in the Japanese trailer shows more than just dirt tracks, which is a plus.

Somebody else who likes Jet Moto! That game rocked so much, so many memories.

Hopefully we'll be seeing Super Metroid in the VC soon. Probably in the same month as Metroid Prime 3.

Thanks for being so dedicated Hobo. I haven't been able to get through to a lot of game sites for most of the day, because of the Thursdayton traffic. My friend told me that the new Red Steel trailer on IGN was amazing, but I didnd't get to see it. Did see the Nightmare Before Christmas 3D trailer though (hellz yes).

There will be so many good games at launch, I'm honestly not too worried about Metroid not being there. Zelda should last for a long time anyway, not to mention the VC games, and other top-notch launch titles.

I can't think of any time that a launch has been so stacked with great titles. Even though it meant pushing off Zelda time and again, it comes together nicely here. Good show!

Someone has some adding issues :P

Launch isn't until December 8th over here, I doubt I'll come on here between your release and ours due to gelousy. I will probably try to get on release:
The Wii - £180
Wii Play (with controller) - £40
Extra Nunchuk (Maybe) - £15 at a guess
Zelda - £40
And maybe a VC controller - £20?

So roughly £300 would be nice to have. However i doubt I'll have that.

UK pricing of the Wiimote, Nunchuk and Classic pad have been added to the front page. I'm just tracking down some international pricing now.

Cool, kinda sucks for people on the Euro that it's the same amount as here, since the Euro is worth a bit more than the dollar.

Oh well, things usually cost more there anyway, I suppose

And I'm still missing what exactly Wii-play is...

Remember seeing the various mini games like Ping Pong, Obstacle Course, Billiards etc? That's Wii Play. All the games on the disc are 2 player.

I think I'm just about done updating the first post, bar some unreleased Australian pricing info.

Is there anything else you guys want to see?

That was a rumoured list posted up a while ago. Most of those games are obvious choices for a launch line-up anyway. Officially, it's probably not 100% true.

Yeah the lack of Donkey Kong raises an eyebrow as that was promised. But I wouldn't be surprised if it ended up being something like that.

The following information is confirmed by Capcom:

Resident Evil Wii is finally confirmed. It’s called Umbrella Chronicles and it’s a game that ties up all loose ends throughout the series.
Similar to Outbreak, it’s split up in different chapters; you will be able to play as the main Resident Evil protagonists from the main series[From RE Veronica to RE4, prologue to RE5], as well as unlock additional characters.
Gameplay will be in 3rd person similar to RE4, but additionally the game takes advantage of the controller’s core features. -Puzzles and shooting will have a new twist to it.

New details are to be shown at TGS.

Also, previous rumors was made official.

Four chapters will be available, each chapter will have 2 playable characters
Chapter 1 - BH1 Mansion - Jill and Chris
Chapter 2 - BH2 RPD - Claire and Leon
Chapter 3 - BH3 Racoon City - Jill and Carlos
Chapter 4 - BH4 Village - Leon and Ada

Additional characters can be unlocked by playing the game, such as Rebecca Chambers, Hunk and Albert Wesker

The gameplay will be similar to BH4, use the Wiimote to trigger the over-the-shoulder view, use the nunchuk to fire

All characters will have different weapons and melee attacks like in BH4, you can find additional weapons in the stage

Each character can only carry 2 weapons, such as Chris’ pistol and shotgun, and Jill’s pistol and grenade launcher

The main game Scenario Mode will have in-game cutscenes, each chapter will have new contents which link to Umbrella’s status

There is an Arcade Mode which plays like the BH4 Mercenaries mini game

In other news, get a free Castlevania Anniversary Soundtrack with a preorder of PoR on DS: http://gonintendo.com/?p=5646
